Customer service

Questions we answer every week.

If your question is not here, email service@holycome.com — it goes to the same desk that makes the pieces.

Custom

What can be customised?+

Metal and karat, center stone type and size, setting style, band width and profile, finish, engraving — and the head can be redrawn for a different center shape.

How much does a custom piece cost?+

Metal weight + stone + setting labour. A 14K solitaire with a 7 mm moissanite typically lands in the low hundreds of dollars; PT950 with a certified lab-grown diamond is a different order of magnitude.

Do you charge for the design?+

The quote and the first CAD are free. If you cancel after approving the CAD, we charge the CAD time and any stones already sourced, and the amount is stated on the quote before you approve.

Can you redesign a family heirloom?+

Yes. We inspect the stones first, advise on re-polishing or re-cutting, and always return the original setting to you.

Will the finished piece match the render exactly?+

Dimensionally, yes. Appearance differs slightly because renders use idealized lighting. Expect the finished metal to look calmer than the render.

Factory

Do you really make the pieces yourselves?+

Yes. CAD, wax printing, casting, setting, polishing, plating and QC all happen in our 8,000 m² workshop in Wuzhou. We do not broker orders to third-party workshops.

How many people work there?+

A small team by design: a three-person design desk, five setters, casting and polishing staff, and a stone office. The same setters see every piece, which is why we can guarantee the work.

Where is the factory?+

Jewelry E-Commerce Tower, Wuzhou, Guangxi, China. Visits are by appointment, Monday to Saturday, with a week’s notice so pieces can be pulled from the archive.

What certificates do you hold?+

SGS nickel release testing (EN 1811), CTT coating adhesion and wear reports, a SMETA 4-pillar social audit, and GRA/IGI documentation for stones. Copies are on the certificates page.

Can I visit before ordering?+

Yes. Email us a week ahead with the reference numbers you want to see and we will have them ready. Wuzhou is about 1h40 from Guangzhou by high-speed rail.

General

Is Holycome a US company?+

Holycome Jewelry Co., Ltd. is a Chinese manufacturer based in Wuzhou, Guangxi, with an office and showroom there. Our retail storefront holycome.com serves US customers, and this atelier site documents the workshop.

When was the company founded?+

2008, as a jewelry shop in Panyu, Guangzhou. The Wuzhou company and factory were established in 2020.

How do I contact a person?+

Email service@holycome.com or message +86 180 7807 9070 on WhatsApp. Replies come from the design desk, not a call centre.

Do you have a physical showroom?+

Yes, in Wuzhou, by appointment. We do not have retail stores in the US or Europe.

Do you offer a warranty?+

Twelve months on workmanship, plus free tightening, re-plating and resizing within 30 days of delivery. Details on the warranty page.

Ordering & custom work

How long does a custom piece take?+

Quote in one business day, CAD in 3–6 days, wax in 7–10, finished piece 12–18 business days after you approve the CAD. Complex hand engraving or matched stone sets take 21–25 days.

Do I have to pay before I see the design?+

No. The quote and the first CAD render are free. A 50% deposit is due only after you approve the CAD, and the balance before dispatch.

Can I change the design after I approve the CAD?+

Yes, up to the wax stage — two revision rounds are included. After the wax is approved, dimensions and stone placement are fixed because the piece is cast from that model.

What if I do not have a stone yet?+

We source it. Tell us the shape, millimeter size and budget, and we will send photographs and prices of available stones before designing the mounting.

Can you work with a stone I already own?+

Regularly. Send photographs and its measurements; if it needs to be shipped, we issue a reference number and the insured address first. We photograph it on arrival so there is a record of its condition.

Do you make men’s rings and signets?+

Yes — bands from 3 mm to 10 mm, domed or flat, brushed or black finishes, plus signets with hand engraving, inlay and stone-set faces.

Can you copy a design I saw somewhere?+

We can design something in the same spirit. We do not reproduce another brand’s proprietary design exactly, and we will tell you if a request is too close to a protected design.

Do you take rush orders?+

Sometimes. Rush production is possible for a fee depending on the bench load — ask before ordering, not after. We will say no rather than promise a date we cannot hold.

Payment & security

Which payment methods do you accept?+

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay, processed through our payment provider.

Is my card data stored?+

No. Card details are handled by the payment processor. We see a confirmation and the last four digits, nothing more.

Can I pay in instalments?+

Instalments are available through the payment provider at checkout in eligible countries. For large custom orders, we also accept a 50% deposit and the balance before dispatch.

Do prices include tax?+

No. Prices are in US dollars and exclude import duty, VAT and local handling fees, which are charged by your country on arrival.

Is there a discount for paying by bank transfer?+

For orders above $2,000 we can quote a small discount on bank transfer, because it avoids processor fees. Ask before paying by card.

Returns, refunds & repairs

What is the return window?+

30 days from delivery on unworn pieces in original packaging with any certificate.

What cannot be returned?+

Engraved pieces, loose stones, earrings with a broken hygiene seal, and anything resized or altered by another jeweller.

Who pays return shipping?+

The customer, unless the fault was ours — then we cover it and refund the original shipping too.

How long do refunds take?+

We inspect within two business days of arrival and refund to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Can I exchange instead of refund?+

Yes. Exchanges are processed as a return plus a new order, so the production lead time restarts.

My ring arrived damaged. What now?+

Photograph the packaging and the piece within 48 hours and email us. You choose: replacement, full refund including shipping, or keep it with a 30% partial refund.

Can an eternity band be resized?+

Usually not without a visible joint. In most cases we quote a partial remake of the shank instead, which is more honest than a resize that fails later.

Is the first resize free?+

Yes — up to two sizes, within 30 days, on rings we made, where the design allows.

Shipping & delivery

Where do you ship from?+

From our workshop in Wuzhou, Guangxi, China. All parcels are insured and tracked.

How much is shipping?+

Free worldwide on orders over $99. Below that, standard shipping is $5.99. Express is available for an additional $30.

How long does delivery take?+

Production 12–18 business days after CAD approval, then 3–10 business days in transit for standard service, or 2–5 business days for express.

Do you ship to my country?+

We ship to more than 100 countries. If your country is not available at checkout, email us — some destinations need a different carrier rather than a different answer.

Who pays customs duties?+

The customer. Import duty, VAT and handling fees are set by your country and are not included in the price or shipping charge. We declare parcels accurately.

Can I change the delivery address after ordering?+

No. For fraud protection, addresses cannot be changed once an order is placed. If production has not started, we can cancel and re-issue the order with the correct address.

My tracking has not updated for days. Is it lost?+

Usually not. International parcels can go 2–3 days without a scan, and carrier handovers add another 2 days. If there has been no movement for seven business days, email us and we will open a trace.

Can you ship to a PO box or an APO address?+

PO boxes are not accepted for insured jewelry shipments. APO/FPO addresses are possible on request but the insurance cover is limited, so we confirm in writing first.

Sizing & fit

How do I measure my ring size at home?+

Measure the inside diameter of a ring that fits, in millimeters, and match it to the chart on our size guide. The paper-strip method works too but is less accurate.

Should I size up for a wide band?+

Yes. Bands 6 mm and wider usually need about half a size more, because they cover more of the finger and have less room at the knuckle.

What if my knuckle is wider than my finger?+

Size for the knuckle and accept slight rotation, or ask about a hinged shank. Sizing to the base will produce a ring you cannot put on.

Can you make half and quarter sizes?+

Half sizes are standard. Quarter sizes are available on request with a small surcharge below US 4 and above US 13.

My partner’s size is a surprise. What do I do?+

Borrow a ring they wear on that hand. If there is nothing to borrow, order a common size (US 6 or 7) and plan a free resize — the first one is included.

Stones & certificates

What is the difference between moissanite and lab-grown diamond?+

Moissanite is silicon carbide with more fire and slightly less hardness (9.25 vs 10). A lab-grown diamond is a diamond, grown from carbon, and behaves identically to a mined one.

Do your stones come with certificates?+

Moissanite ships with a GRA card. Lab-grown diamonds can be supplied with an IGI report on request — tell us at quote stage, because the stone must be selected with the certificate.

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?+

Yes. Same crystal lattice, same hardness, same thermal conductivity. Only a laboratory with spectroscopy can distinguish origin, which is what the certificate documents.

Will moissanite turn cloudy?+

No. CZ clouds; moissanite does not. A dull moissanite is dirty — warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft brush restores it.

Can I buy a loose stone without a setting?+

Yes, and we will match pairs by hand if you need earrings. Loose stones are final sale once shipped.

Do you sell mined diamonds?+

On request. We will quote a natural stone honestly, including the fact that the appearance difference versus a well-cut lab stone is minimal.

What size stone should I choose?+

For an engagement ring, 6.5–7.5 mm is the practical sweet spot. Specify millimeters rather than carats, especially when matching an existing piece.

Can you match a stone to one I already have?+

Yes. Send a daylight photograph and the millimeter size and we will match the tint and cut as closely as the parcel allows.
